The United Way of Southern Chautauqua County partnered with the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) in support of the 2024 Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. This nationwide event is the largest one-day food drive in the country. Each year, community members are encouraged to leave non-perishable food donations by their mailboxes, where letter carriers collect them during their regular delivery routes. In 2023, the drive successfully gathered over 40.3 million pounds of food across the nation, with all local donations staying within the community.
This year, JMI employees proudly supported this important cause by filling donation boxes at our offices in Jamestown, NY. Local mail carriers collected the donations ahead of the Saturday, May 11 event, after which the food was sorted and delivered to local food banks and families in need.
