Plumbing Installation Technician

Properly install plumbing systems. Tech is responsible for maintaining the quality of work up to acceptable standards and for representing the company in a manner that promotes good relations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Install equipment properly the first time at a customer’s location.
Attend all training classes and training seminars to keep their expertise upgraded.
Adhere to proper procedures in the use of paperwork (work orders, return material tags, etc.)
Take directions regarding scheduling from the above.
Follow through on job problems.
Keep manager informed of progress of job and any additional ordering or work needing to be completed.
Turn in all paperwork to office making sure it is filed out completely and accurately in the field.
Responsible for having minimum required stock on truck at all times.
Other tasks as requested by operations manager, field supervisor or field foreman.

QUALIFICATIONS

Good mechanical ability
Works well under pressure.
Must have valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Ability to read and use tape measure.
Able to calculate and understand basic math.
Ability to direct and train helpers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands for this position can be heavy. Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Self-motivated and able to handle rapidly changing priorities and several tasks simultaneously.
Must be able to respond to difficult situations with customers and co-workers with high level of professionalism.
Must be able to communicate effectively with vendors and co-workers.
Must be able to follow safety guidelines at al times.
Must have ability to manage and lead effectively.

Class A Driver (Semi / Tri-axle)

Safe and timely delivery of aggregate/asphalt/other to residential and commercial construction projects and road construction sites.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Complete Driver Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections as well as ensure preventative measures are completed on truck (fuel, oil levels, wear and tear) and write up accordingly
Ensure delivery is being completed safely and timely in a professional and courteous manner.
Adhere to company safety and employment policies
Maintain communication with dispatch, field representatives and other company employees to ensure items are being delivered safely and timely.
Safely Maintain work area and vehicle in a clean and orderly fashion
All drivers are expected to operate their vehicle in a safe and professional manner, both on road and off.
Communicates with Dispatcher to receive instructions.
Works with customers to obtain adequate vehicle access and unloads material
Returns to company site as instructed by Dispatcher and receives new instructions.
Safely maneuver truck on job site
Complete all forms, tickets and required paperwork in a timely manner
Performs other job related duties as required or assigned.
Keep truck bed clean of material buildup

ABILITY TO

Learn and follow JMI company and safety policies and procedures
Punctual and consistently arrives at work on time

QUALIFICATIONS

Triaxle and Semi Driver experience, preferred

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

EXPERIENCE

One year experience with a CDL Class A License
Maintain a safe driving record
Must be able to maintain corporate insurability standards
Retain a DOT physical card and Pass a DOT drug screen

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
Ability to physically climb in and out of equipment safely and operate levers or pedals to make fine, highly controlled muscular movements to adjust the position of control mechanisms.
Ability to work in a plant environment with exposure to dust, fumes, noise, extreme temperatures and confined spaces
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to climb stairs and ladders
Ability to shovel
Ability to bend, sit, stoop, and stand for long periods of time in the outdoor weather.
Ability to physically climb to top of plant locations and perform work
Ability to enter and exit equipment safely
Ability to sit for extended periods of time (equipment operation)
Ability to walk and work on uneven terrain

Class B Driver (Mixer)

Safe and timely delivery of ready-mixed concrete to residential / commercial construction projects and road construction sites. This position will work with direct and indirect supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Complete Driver Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections as well as ensure preventative measures are completed on truck (fuel, oil levels, wear and tear) and write up accordingly.
Ensure delivery is being completed safely and timely in a professional and courteous manner.
Adhere to company safety and employment policies.

Safely maintain work area and vehicle in a clean and orderly fashion.

Fills truck’s water tank and verifies accurate slump of load, makes adjustments as necessary.
Works with customers to obtain adequate vehicle access and unloads material.
Frequently lifts, carries, and attaches flop extension chutes weighing in excess of 40 pounds, re-hangs chutes as necessary.
Rinses chutes and rear of truck to ensure absence of excess concrete.
Returns to company site as instructed by Dispatcher and receives new instructions.
Safely maneuver truck on job site.
Complete all forms, tickets and required paperwork in a timely manner.
Performs other job related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Concrete mixer operating experience preferred

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
