Small Engine Repair & Rental Team Member 

We’re looking for a team member to maintain and repair our rental equipment while performing other duties in the yard and providing excellent customer service.  

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES 

• Responsible for maintenance and repair of small engines, both gas and diesel engines including hydraulic equipment.  
• Perform preventive maintenance work, such as checking oil and fluid levels on all equipment.  
• Responding to all maintenance issues, both mechanical and electrical.
• Ordering parts and contacting manufacturers to maintain equipment.
• Keeps rental equipment operating, troubleshooting breakdowns, and calling for repairs to have equipment back into the rental fleet.
• Ability to learn the POS system and take care of customers at our rental counter.
• Follow rental checklist by working a condition report before and after a rental.
• Ensure customers understand the operation of the rental equipment. 
• Providing assistance, recommendations, and advice to customers regarding rental products. 
• Forklift operator and ability to load and unload. 
• Sorting, staging, cleaning of all rental area products and equipment.
• Assists and serves as a back up to other areas of the store. 

WORK SKILLS & ENVIRONMENT

• While performing the duties of this job, the team member works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions.  The team member must have the ability to take on any situation to expedite and provide excellent customer service.  
• Dedicated to customer service. 
• Equipment recommendations and ensures that units are maintained and clean.
• Expected to complete customer contracts for rental equipment.
• Day-to-day operation and maintenance of rental area. 
• Working cohesively in a team environment.
• Loading customers and verifying sales receipts. 
• Unloading and loading deliveries and stocking the store.  
• Driving customer service daily.

Mechanic 

Effectively complete all day-to-day equipment maintenance activities in both shop and field environments.  This position will work with direct and indirect supervision.

Precast Laborer

Desired candidate should have good organizational skills and a strong familiarity with skid steers and/or forklifts.

Tri-Axle Driver

Safe and timely delivery of aggregate/asphalt/other to residential and commercial construction projects and road construction sites.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Complete Driver Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections as well as ensure preventative measures are completed on truck (fuel, oil levels, wear and tear) and write up accordingly
• Ensure delivery is being completed safely and timely in a professional and courteous manner.
• Adhere to company safety and employment policies
• Maintain communication with dispatch, field representatives and other company employees to ensure items are being delivered safely and timely.
• Safely Maintain work area and vehicle in a clean and orderly fashion
• All drivers are expected to operate their vehicle in a safe and professional manner, both on road and off.
• Communicates with Dispatcher to receive instructions.
• Works with customers to obtain adequate vehicle access and unloads material
• Returns to company site as instructed by Dispatcher and receives new instructions.
• Safely maneuver truck on job site
• Complete all forms, tickets and required paperwork in a timely manner
• Performs other job related duties as required or assigned.
• Keep truck bed clean of material buildup

ABILITY TO 

• Learn and follow JMI company and safety policies and procedures
• Punctual and consistently arrives at work on time

QUALIFICATIONS

• Triaxle and Semi Driver experience, preferred

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

EXPERIENCE

• One year experience with a CDL Class A License
• Maintain a safe driving record
• Must be able to maintain corporate insurability standards
• Retain a DOT physical card and Pass a DOT drug screen

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
• Ability to physically climb in and out of equipment safely and operate levers or pedals to make fine, highly controlled muscular movements to adjust the position of control mechanisms.
• Ability to work in a plant environment with exposure to dust, fumes, noise, extreme temperatures and confined spaces
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders
• Ability to shovel
• Ability to bend, sit, stoop, and stand for long periods of time in the outdoor weather.
• Ability to physically climb to top of plant locations and perform work
• Ability to enter and exit equipment safely
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time (equipment operation)
• Ability to walk and work on uneven terrain

Mixer Driver

Safe and timely delivery of ready-mixed concrete to residential / commercial construction projects and road construction sites.  This position will work with direct and indirect supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete Driver Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections as well as ensure preventative measures are completed on truck (fuel, oil levels, wear and tear) and write up accordingly.
• Ensure delivery is being completed safely and timely in a professional and courteous manner.
• Adhere to company safety and employment policies.
• Maintain communication with dispatch, field representatives and other company employees to ensure concrete is being delivered safely and timely.
• Safely maintain work area and vehicle in a clean and orderly fashion.
• All drivers are expected to operate their vehicle in a safe and professional manner, both on road and off.
• Communicates with Dispatcher to receive instructions.
• Fills truck’s water tank and verifies accurate slump of load, makes adjustments as necessary.
• Works with customers to obtain adequate vehicle access and unloads material.
• Frequently lifts, carries, and attaches flop extension chutes weighing in excess of 40 pounds, re-hangs chutes as necessary.
• Rinses chutes and rear of truck to ensure absence of excess concrete.
• Returns to company site as instructed by Dispatcher and receives new instructions.
• Safely maneuver truck on job site.
• Complete all forms, tickets and required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Performs other job related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Concrete mixer operating experience preferred

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

EXPERIENCE

• One year experience with a CDL Class B License or better
• Maintain a safe driving record
• Must be able to maintain corporate insurability standards
