JMI Answers the Call for Help in the City of Buffalo

On January 17, 2023, JMI dispatched seven trucks to assist with snow removal in the City of Buffalo following two lake-effect winter storms.

For 3 days, JMI drivers worked with Buffalo road crews to clear the streets in some of the hardest hit areas. During that time, it’s estimated that JMI’s trucks moved approximately 24,000 ton of snow to various dump sites around the city.

When asked why he agreed to help with the snow removal effort, Elmer Tardi said, “I wanted to do something to contribute to the city of Buffalo. I believe that I can make a positive impact on the community while also gaining valuable experience and meeting new people who work in the same field as I do.”

Mike Campbell, another JMI driver, agreed. “It felt great to help others in their time of need. If I was buried like they were in Buffalo I would gladly accept any help I could get. There was way too much snow.”

This is the second year that JMI crews have made the trip to assist Buffalo in snow removal efforts.

Special thanks to these JMI employees who assisted in the City of Buffalo’s 2023 winter storm cleanup:
